Hey. I’m Jared, and this is a technical blog I update from time to time.
I have a Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Auckland, where my research focused on embedded probabilistic programming languages, and I’ve worked mostly as a programmer. My blog in turn deals primarily with topics in statistics and computer science.
Aside from technical stuff, I’m interested in powerlifting and kettlebells (and especially nutrition); books on various topics; chess; classical guitar; travel; hanging out with friends; and especially (on the rare occasion I get the chance) sitting around and doing nothing.
